Bride of Anubis

"Hmmm..." he went to look at the soldiers and their commander.

They were all clean too. No one in the room was guilty.

Anubis sighed and went to the underworld to meet the Pharaoh's soul.

He was greeted by Thoth, "Has he arrived yet?"

Thoth looked at him, "Has who arrived yet?"

"The late Pharaoh. He died not long ago and his soul should be here soon." he said getting in his best attire and his faced changed to the jackals head.

"Ah... him... Yes I have seen his baa around here some where."

"Find him and bring him for judgment, I wish to speak to him before he is let through." he ordered.

Thoth nodded, "Okay. I'll see if I can find him,"

Anubis went to the the judgement chamber to set the scales.

Thoth came with the pharaoh, "Here he is Anubis."

Anubis turned around and looked him over, "I wish to speak with you son of egypt." he said walking up to him.

"What is it sir?"

"Did you die of illness....or was there scandal about?"

He sighed, "I was murdered, by whom I do not know..."

"How? I need to know." Anubis said.

"I was stabbed. The man who killed me was wearing a mask. I couldn't see his face." He sihged. "I wasn't even able to see my first child come into the world." He looked up at Anubis. "My last request is for my wife to rule in my place until our child is old enough to rule."

"Do remember what the mask looked like?" he questioned.

He shook his head, "I only caught a gimps."

He sighed, "Thank you. Now, since you are here we'll begin your judgement." Anubis headed over to the scales.

"Wait he said. Please promise me that my family will maintain the throne."

"That is for you to bring to Osiris, Son of egypt. I am the judge of the dead and souls." Anubis explained.

He sighed, "Please help me. Osiris sees no human unless presented by a god."

Anubis sighed quietly, ".........Very well. If you pass judgement I will present you."

He nodded, "Sounds fair."

Back at Anubis' Palace...

Nefertari was awake but remained in bed.

Neferet wasn't allowing her to go anywhere but the rest room. She sighed and awaiting Anubis' return.

The Pharaoh was proven clean hearted, "We shall go to Osiris now. Thoth take over while I am gone." they vanished.

He nodded, "Very well."

The appeared outside Osiris' palace and they met one of the guards, "I wish an audience with Osiris."

He nodded, "I will get him." He returned with Osiris,"

Anubis and the pharaoh bowed, "My lord, this is the late deceased Pharaoh of Egypt and has a request."

"Please Sir. Promise me that my child will rule Egypt. And my wife in place until he or she is old enough." He asked.

Osiris looked at the Pharaoh, "I will watch over your family, but it is the best I can do until the child is born." he said.

He sighed and nodded, "Thank you."

Osiris nodded to him, "Be well and enjoy the afterlife."

He nodded, "Thank you." He started to fade away.

Anubis nodded as he left. "I must return my lord, thank you." he bowed and left.

Nefertari awaited his return.

But as she waited, a shadow snuck into the palace and looked around.

By then Nefertari had fallen asleep.

The shadow arrived to her room and stopped at the end of her bed, and started to form a human figure.

He lifted her out of bed and took her away.

The figure smirked, "Just you wait Anubis..." hissing.

When Anubis returned Nefertari was no where in sight.

"Nefertari? Nefertari?!" he called out, getting worried about her not answering.

Femi peeked her head out of the kitchen, "I believe she is resting my lord."

"I will go check on her." he said sighing in relief.

When he arrived she was no where to be found.

"Nefertari?" he was getting worried now, "Femi! WHere is she!?"

Femi came in and stopped in her tracks, "She was here an hour ago! I swear Master!"
