Bride of Anubis

"Do you wish for me to show her in?" Femi asked.

She nodded, "Yes of course I cannot deny her."

Femi bowed and went to get her.

A few minutes later...

A slender figured entered with a gold frog helmut on her head, "Hello, I am Heqet, goddess of childbirth and fertility, I have come to give you my blessing." she smiled, walking over, "Hello Hathor."

"Hello Heqet." she greeted back.

"Heket, Umm... thank you." She blushed, "But I haven't given him an answer yet."

"It does not matter if you have or not. It is my gift to you." she smiled bowing to her.

Nefertari blushed, "You don't have to bow."

"It is out of respect Miss Nefertari." she entered, "I wish for you to come to the bathing room. My blessing requires water." she smiles.

"Oh umm.. okay." She lead the way to the bathing chamber

Nefertari was given a light thin material to wear while she was in the water, Heqet threw white spider lillies into the water and chanted as she did. She had her submerge her whole being into the water.

After Nefertari went under she came back up

Heqet then poured a vile of water from the nile on her head, "May your children be born well and strong." he kissed her forehead.

She chuckled, "If I have any."

"I would not fear, you are young and strong, you will have healthy offspring." she smiled, "You may come out now."

She stepped out of the bath and Femi put a towel around her.

"You alright Miss?' she ask wrapping her up.

She smiled, "Yes I'm fine."

She brought her clothes and helped her dress. "You are lucky to be blesses, most do not get blesses by Heqet personally." she smiled.

She smiled back, "I am greatly honored."

AFter getting dressed, "I hope you're feeling refreshed." giggled Hathor.

Nefertari laughed, "I guess you could say that."

She smiled, "We'll if you are being blessed, it means you are being received well by the others."

Nefertari smiled, "I hope others are the same."

"I will be on your side if some do not agree." Hathor encouraged.

Nefertari smiled, "That is one reason I am glad to be in your company."

She smiled, "I do hope you and Anubis get together, "I would love you as a sister."

Nefertari chuckled. "In due time.."

Meanwhile....

After working hard in the Underworld, Anubis return, exhausted from still not getting enough rest.

He was greeted by a Hawk screeching in his face

"AH! Huh? That's one of Horus' falcons." he said, "Nefertari?"

Femi came instead, "I'm sorry Master, but she is talking with Hathor."

HE smiled, "Inform her that I have returned and going to rest in my chamber." he ordered before heading off.

Femi nodded, "Yes Master."

Anubis really was tired and he headed straight to his bed chamber to get some sleep.

After a bit Amir flew in and screeched in his face again and started pecking at his head.

"AHH! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU BUZZARD!!!" he smacked the bird away.

He screeched and bit his finger.

He growled like a dog and his head turned to jackal form, backing at the falcon scaring him away.

"Blasted bird." he sucked on his finger.

Amir flew strait to Nefertari and landed on her shoulder cuddling against her.

Hathor noticed his behaviour, "You behave while here Amir." she warned the falcon.

Amir frowned and nodded

"Well, i have to leave, I have duty." she stood, She hugged Nefertari, "I will see you again soon."

Nefertari nodded, "That is fine. I need ot see Anubis anyways."

Hathor left the palace and headed home.

Anubis was laying on his bed with a pillow on his face.

Amir flew in ahead of her to bother Anubis. He screeched in his face

Anubis made the bird pause in the air and made him float away, "Let me guess, you got him as gift?"

Nefertari frowned, "Yes from Hathor and Horus gave him to me. Please be nice to him."

"Keep him in another room. He seems to dislike me." he said tiredly.

Nefertari sighed, "But he is a good bird." Amir flew down to Anubis and snuggled against him. "See?"

"He's only doing that because you're here. And personally I am more for Jackals than birds." he said.

She frowned, "Still he was a gift from Horus. You need to respect that. And the bird has done no harm to you. If you continue hurting the bird I'll sleep in a different room."
