Bride of Anubis

"I just woke up, do not rush me please." He made clean clothes appear and his jackal helmut appeared.

She sighed, "Fine..." And left the room

He followed her, "Why are you so irritated? I am going to eat now, I just like to look clean and neat before leaving my room."

She sighed, "It's no reason."

"Come now, don't keep thing like this to yourself, I do not want to go on with my day believing I may have upset you." he said.

"No it's not really you I'm just having 'issues'"

"Do you wish to talk? You might feel better." he asked.

She blushed, "It's not really something I can discuss."

"Why not?" he was concerned now, "Are you ill?"

"No! Nothing like that. It just I cannot discuss it with a male."

Then it dawned on him, "Oh, I see now. Forgive me. I shall let you be." he gave her a small nod and left.

She sighed in relief, "He finally got the hint."

Anubis grumbled to himself, it should have been obvious!

Femi peaked out the kitchen, "Master are you hungry?"

"Yes, thank you Femi." he gave a smile.

She smiled back and disappeared into the kitchen

He sat down and waited, he looked out to the sight of the nile.

Femi came out with his food, "Here you go master."

"Thank you Femi." he picked at the fruit first before dining into the fresh bread and fish.

She smiled and left,

He ate as much as he wanted and got up from the table, "Inform Nefertari that I will be back later." he vanished.

She nodded, "Yes Master, I will."

Anubis appeared to one of his temples, where an Opening of Mouth ceremony was being performed, Anubis' eyes glowed red and he turned transparent, he then possessed the head priest with a mask of Anubis.

Anubis noticed Nefertari's aunt, Nefertiti, there. That was when he realized that the person he was preforming the ceremony on was the pharaoh.

'He died rather swift....Hmm....Thoth would have told me about him coming in for Judgement.... something foul is afoot.' he suspected, but he had to get on with the ceremony.

Nefertiti was crying over her lost husband. She looked about 6 months pregnant.

He sighed 'I forget about the time difference in our worlds, the time flies by so quickly with the humans.'

He knew he would have to tell Nefertari later today.

He sighed but had to get on with the ritual.

Every so often he would get distracted and think about Nefertari.

'How am I to explain this to her?' he wondered.

Everywhere he saw images of her and it was driving him crazy. When he got back there was a sad aura about the place. It seemed something happened. He knew something was wrong when Neferet was there.

"Nefertari? Nefertari?!" he called out, looking around where she would normally be, but when he turned to the main chamber...

He saw her laying on the bed, Neferet sighed, "Femi found her fainted on the floor and she came and got me. She's okay, but she needn't walk around doing stuff on her monthly. Apparently it exaughsted her"

He growled, "Stay with her, I'll be back."

He nodded, "Okay. Just calm down. At least this time Set wasn't behind it. He even has a alibi. He was seen during the time by at least 5 gods, and goddesses."

"Then what happened to for to faint?" he questioned.

He sighed, "It was her monthly. It's quite common actually. Her hormons are out of control right now which causes her body to wack out."

He blushed a slight, "Oh...of course. But keep an eye on her as she sleeps. I have to return to the ritual."

He nodded, "Don't worry she'll be safe. And I thought the Ritual ended. Isn't that why you came back?"

"No, I was getting a negative feeling and rushed back." he sighed.

He nodded, "I understand. Well go on then."

Anubis nodded to her and returned to the ritual.

By the time he got back it was almost over.

He possessed the priest for the last part. AFter the ritual was done, Anubis stuck around for a little bit to hear what the people were thinking.

"I heard the Queen killed him," One whispered.
"No the Queen wouldn't. Especially not before her child is born." Another said.
"I agree." Person 3 said, "I heard it was the prime minister."

"What?" he whispered and continued listening.

"I don't know..." Person 1 said. "His fiends with the pharaohs father."
Person 2: "That is true. I think It was the head of the army."
PErson 3: "No.. no they grew up together."

Anubis squinted his eyes and went to look about the room, with no one seeing him of course. He was looking for a guilty conscious.

The queen was clear. Her maids were trying to calm her down so she doesn't harm the baby. Every one in the room seemed clear.
