Emerald Warrior

"I will get you Ruriel....but the boss is going to get me, since I failed...AGAIN!!!" he growled.

When he went back the boss was waiting.

".....What happened,?" he was hidden in the shadows,leaning his head in one hand, "You failed didn't you?"

Toximus looked to the floor, "Y-Yes sir...but it seems the girl who he has joined with is part angel herself!"

The boss' red eyes squinted, "Talismyn...is this true?" The young boy nodded, "Yes sir. Though she has NO experience in combat of any kind, I believe she never even knew she had such abilities."

"Keep an eye on them. When the opportunity comes, bring the girl to me." they bowed.

Ruriel landed in her grandmothers yard.

He looked around, "Hello? Is anyone there?" he called out.

Her grandmother ccame out of the forest with some fairies in toe, "Can I help you, young man?"

"Are you Gwen's grandmother?" he asked, with Gwen in his arms.

She nodded, "And from the looks of you, you must be Ruriel."

He blinked, "Uhhh....yes, but how do you know?"

She chuckled, "My mother spoke often about you."

He smiled, "I almost mistook you for your mother."

she smiled, "that is quite alright."

"I don't have time for this!" he remembered, "Gwen's been poisoned."

She nodded, "I know. I can sense the darkness coming from her." She started walking into her house, "Come along."

Ruriel laid her on the table, "Do you need me to do anything?"

"You can wander around the house." She smiled

"Please let me help." he begged.

She chuckled, "There isn't anything you can do. The anti-poison is that complicated. It's already been made." She went to a jar in the kitchen and poured it down her throat. "There all done." She smiled

He sighed, "I could have lost her. I tried to tell her it was dangerous for me to be around people."

She chuckled, "That is Gwen for you. She doesn't listen."

"I noticed." -_-

She smiled, "But you do have to admire her determination."

"Yes...she reminds me so much of Celest in personality." he admitted.

She smiled, "Yes she does remind me of her from time to time. You know it was Celest who named her."

"I had a feeling about that. Celest always liked the name." he smiled leaning against a table.

Meanwhile Toximus was getting close to the house.

"We'll see who gets the last laugh." he growled to himself.

Gwen's grandmother smiled, "My name is Celine, by the way."

"A pleasure to meet you." held out his hand to her.

She smiled and took his hand, "Likewise." Then a tiny fairy fluttered in and whispered something in Celine's ear. "Oh dear. We have visitors."

Ruriel sensed it, "Yes...I can feel them coming from the north west."

"Well then lets go greet these friends." She said.

"I can fight them, you stay with Gwen." Ruriel said.

She nodded, "Very well."

Ruriel stepped outside of the house and closed the door.

He looked around, no sigh of the enemy....yet. "I may not be able to see you....but I can sense you." he spoke to himself.

Talismyn showed himself, "Well done Ruriel." The bow clapped mockingly.

Meanwhile Toximus was entering the house through another side. Evading Ruriel completely

"This place is a sanctuary Talismyn, leave." he warned the young warrior.

"I do not listen to riffraff like you." he said with his stoic face.

He heard a scream and a big flash of light came from the house. When he went in Celine was on the floor and Gwen was gone.

"Gwen!!" he went back outside to find Talismyn, but he too was gone.

Gwen was still unconscious and was lying in Toximus' arms. She looked rather cute.

"She's kinda cute...when she's not being a pain." he grumbled the last part.

Talismyn raised an eye brow, "You are not falling for her, are you?"

"Of course not! I'm just making an observation." he frowned, totally denying it.

Talismyn nodded, "Good. Our master is the one who will decide what is to be done. If he wishes to have her we cannot stand in his way."

"Ha!" he snuffed, "He is too grouchy to even THINK about having a good time with a lady. You KNOW that."

"Still if he does we must not stand in his way."

"Yeah, yeah." he gave a dismissive wave.

Talismyn sighed. They entered the throne room and place Gwen at their masters feet. They stood there waiting for his orders.

He stared at Gwen and looked to his men, "Leave." he said plainly.

Toimus and Talismyn bowed, leaving Gwen alone with their master.

Gwen lay there peacefully in front of him.
