"I can't make a promise to something I might not be able to keep." he sighed.

"At least for a little while." She begged, "You'll be safe at grandma's I promise!"

"And how are you supposed to take me there? You have school." he said with a dry expression.

"I don't know! Just wait till after school. I'll drive you!"

"I do not like those vehicles, almost been run over by one too many in my lifetime." she grumbled.

"PLEASE!" She begged.

He cringed as she begged but he shook his head, "You MUST be her grand-daughter, Celest did the EXACTLY the same thing when I didn't want to do something."

"Well just come and see my grandmother! Maybe she can help you revert back to your old form.

"I highly doubt it. This spell was cast by a dangerous and powerful dark force, it would take someone of equal ability or himself to remove it." he said. Then he saw a car parked in the driveway, "SOmeone is home." he said to Gwen.

"Yeah it's my moms car." She explained. "She must have come home late last night. Dad isn't home yet cause he is out on business."

The front door opened and in stepped Gwen's mother, "I''m home! Hello Gwen!" she smiled.

Gwen smiled back, "Hello Mom."

"Sorry for not getting back, I had more work than I first thought." she apologised. "I bought some-" she paused when she spotted Ruriel.

".....is that a cat?"

Gwen smiled and nodded, "Yes It is."

"Aww how cute!" she walked over and petted Ruriel, "You're a cutie aren't you?"

Gwen chuckled at his sour look

"Where did you find him?" she smiled, heading into the kitchen.

"He fallowed me home."

He jumped off the sill and went to the kitchen, "Meow!" "Aww you hungry? Gwen have you fed the poor thing?"

"Maybe...." She looked away

Ruriel smirked at Gwen, "Meow." he went again, "Could you feed him, he seems hungry still."

Gwen glared at the cat, while she got the milk ou of the fridge, "Here ya go."

Ruriel lapped it up and licked his lips. 'Mmm full cream.'

Gwen rolled her eyes at his expression.

Later on, back in Gwen's room...

"Aww I'm stuffed!" Ruriel stretched and curled up at the end of the bed, "You have a nice mother." he complimented.

She nodded, "Yeah it would help if you didn't act like a monkey."

"Who are you calling a monkey?!" he frowned.

"You." She smiled teasingly

"Don't make have to prove myself." he showed his claws.

She chuckled, "I believe you."

"Good." he smiled, then yawned. "I haven't been this full in a long time. Looking for a decent meal on the streets is hard." he laid his head on his paws.

"Then why don't you stay here?" She grinned.

"I told you before I'm being-" he paused and his ears twitched, "Oh no..."

"What is it?"

"I got to go!" he jumped out of the window, but as he did a glowing red net was thrown one him, "REOWW!" he squealed.

"Hey!" She started throwing stuff at the figure, "Let go of MY cat!" She ran to the window and punched the figure.

WHen she punched the figure he turned his head, showing no sign of pain and smirked, "You are either very brave or very foolish." he pushed her to the ground and walked over to Ruriel, "HIISSSS!" Ruriel spat at him.

"Leave her out of this Toximus!" Ruriel growled, the figure chuckled, "So, you have learned to speak again."

Rueil tried to scratch, "Do that and I'll have to declaw you."

Gwen screamed as she fell from her second story bed room to the ground and was rendered unconscionably.

Her necklace fell off and it landed next to Ruriel. 'Wait! Gwen's necklaced allowed me to speak...maybe...' "RUUS MEK STEL!!!" he reached and touched it.

A pink tornado surrounded Ruriel and the force of the energy pushed Toximus back, "What?!" he frowned.

The tornado lifted Ruriel up and his body glowed and started to change.

"NO!" TOximus growled.

Toximus fled. Leaving Ruriel and Gwen

The pink energy vanished, Ruriel found no sign of Toximus, but remembered Gwen!

"Gwen! Are you alright?!" he lifted her, into his arm-wait! "Arms?" he whispered, looking at his hands, "I-I-I-I'm...I'm me again." he was in awe, he almost forgotten what it was like.

Gwen stirred in his arms but didn't wake.

He picked her up and climbed back up to her bedroom, without her family hearing him. "Gwen, please wake up." he tapped the side of her face gently, "Please!"

"Nngh..." She groaned.

"Yes! That's it! Wake up. Now don't freak out when you see me because-" Before he could finish...

When Gwen woke up she saw him as a cat, "Nngh... my head hurts."

Ruriel loked at himself, "NO! I it must be only temporary." he sighed sadly.

"Gwen, are you alright?"

"Yeah... I'm fine." She sighed

"Stay here Gwen." Ruriel jumped out the window and went to grab her necklace.

He brought it back up and placed it on the side table.

Gwen put her hand to her neck, "How did it fall off?"
