Bride of Anubis

"Don't worry. I'll be fine." he smiled.

"If I do get found out, what can they do to the lord of the dead?" he pointed out.

She sighed, "I don't know... I don't want you to force yourself."

"I will do anything for you to be happy. So do not worry about me." he smiled.

She looked worriedly at him, "I don't want to hurt you though..."

"I will be fine. Trust me." he smiled and headed out of the room.

She smiled and watched him as he left.

Anubis went to see Osiris to inform him about a deal he and Nefertari made.

A snake snuck into Anubis' palace, while he was away

"Osiris, father of the gods, I am here to speak with you." he spoke out.

Osiris came out, "Hello Anubis." He smiled. "What can I do for you today?"

"I am just here to inform you that Nefertari and I have made an agreement. SHe could see her family one day each year she is with me. I just wanted to see if you approve of it." he said

He nodded and smiled, "That is a very kind gesture, but don't you think that once she's back on earth she wont return."

"She told me she would return. I do not sense falseness in her words or tone." he said.

He sighed, "Very well, but don't be surprised if she doesn't."

"Well, I will tell her the consequences if she does not return." he replied.

He nodded, "Good. You have my permission."

ANubis bowed and left to return to him home.

When he returned, he thought he could sense danger. "Nefertari?!"

He found Nefertari unconscious on the floor

"NO! NOT AGAIN!!!" he ran to her side, "Nefertari speak to me!"

Femi came in with a bucket of water. "Master! Mistress was bit bye a snake."

"What kind?!" he was trying not to panic.

"I'm not sure Master. The snake disappeared when I cam into the room, I only got a glimpse of it."

"But only Meretseger controls snakes around here, she is a protector not a killer." he growled, "WHY WILL THEY NOT LEAVE HER BE!!!??"

"Sir... I don't think it was Meretseger. Set... Well he has a hobby of snakes

He growled, he got to where she was bitten and started to suck the venom.

"MASTER!" Femi exclaimed, "You could hurt yourself doing that! I'll get Nefertem."

He didn't listen, he spat out some of the venom tainted blood and continued to suck it out.

Femi tried to pull him away, "Master please! You aren't any good to her if you die!"

"I'm a god Femi! I won't die from venom!" he spat more blood out.

"PLEASE MASTER! THIS IS SET! He'll find a way for you to die!"

He didn't care. He kept going till he couldn't taste the venom anymore.

Femi kept trying to pull him away. "Please Master PLEASE!" Femi begged him

He pulled away and spat the last bit of blood from his mouth, he sat Nefertari up, "Please...wake up. I don't want to lose you."

Her breathing was regular now. Her eyes tightened and then opened a little, "Anubis....?" She managed to say before falling unconscious.

"I'm taking her to Nefertem...again." he sighed, vanishing to his palace.

Femi was extremely worried, "Please get your self some help too Master!"

He appeared in Nefertem's palace and he felt a bit dizzy, "N-Nefertem!!" he called out.

Nefertem came out, "Anubis...? ANUBIS!" He ran to help steady him

"She was bitten by a snake." he leaned against the wall, "I had to suck the venom out."

"It seems your worse off than her."

"I can take a bit, but now I'm really dizzy." he sighed, holding his head.

He helped him to the beds and lied Neferatri down, "Anubis lets take a look at you."

"No, look at her first. I'll be alright." he frowned a bit, sweating.

He shook his head, "I'm sorry but you are worse off than she is. You come first."

He grumbled and Nefertem looked him over.

He gave him some anti-venom pills. Femi peeked out from behind the door worried about her master and mistress.

ANubis laid on the table and sighed, feeling tired and sick, didn't help him.

Nefertem smiled at Femi, "That little girl cares alot about you."

He smiled a little, "Femi is the kindest young one who came to my house. Even when she was alive she remained the same."
