Bride of Anubis

He sighed, "Not so good the poison is gone but now she is running a fever."

He felt her forehead, "Will she recover?" he questioned.

He sighed, "I'm not sure."

He exhaled loudly, "Is there anything I can do Nefertem?"

"Just sit and wait," He placed a cool towel on her forehead

He sat next to her and held her hand. He watched her as she breathed, she truly was lovely. He smiled a bit and kissed her cheek lightly.

Nefertari stirred a liitle but didn't wake.

"I love you..." he whispered to her while she was still unconscious.

She whimpered a bit, Her body was in pain.

Anubis smoothed her hair out, keeping her calm.

"A-Anubis." She whimpered still asleep

He looked at her, "Nefertari....I'm here."

Nefertem sighed, "I don't know if she will live."

"No, she has to." he got her hand. "I don't want to judge her."

"She has a fever of a 103. If it gets any higher she will die." He sighed. "I don't want her to die but there are somethings I can't do."

"Just try and keep her cooled down. I will be back." he vanished.

He nodded, "I'll do my best."

Anubis appeared to Isis' palace, "Please let me see Isis." asked the guards.

"No I'm sorry Lord Anubis but the lady has requested to be alone." One guard said.

"What's going on here?" Isis said making the guards part.

"Great mother Isis, Serket had Nefertari stung with a black scorpion and she is running with a fever." he said to her.

Isis' eyes widened, "WHAT?! I thought she would've stop after I stopped her the first time. Tell me what can I do?"

"I wish for to look at her and see if you can do anything for her." he bowed.

Isis sighed, "I'll see what I can do."

They appeared back to Nefertem's home, Nefertari looked pale.

Nefertem sighed, "She's been getting worse."

Anubis felt her forehead, "I wasn't gone long, how did she get worse?"

"She stopped breathing for a bit, I managed to get her breathing again."

Anubis turned to Isis, "is there anything you can do....I don't want to judge her."

Isis sighed, "I'll try my best, but if worst comes to worst you must prepare yourself."

He nodded, walking over to Nefertari, "Is there anyway we can save her?"

"I'm not sure. I'd have to put some of my own life into her for her to survive."

"B-But if you do that she'll become a goddess!" ANubis said a bit stunned, "SHe'll think I asked you to do it."

"Well it's up to you. We can put some life into her or we can search for a cure." Isis sighed/

They didn't have time to search for a cure, Anubis sighed reluctantly, "Do as you believe is best."

"It's up to you Anubis. But if you want I could put some of your life into her,"

He looked to her then back to Nefertari, "...........so be it." he knelt in front of the alter Nefertari was laying on.

She kept whimpering his name, "I Isis goddess of motherhood, magic and fertility transfer the life of the god Anubis into the girl Nefertari, So she may live."

Anubis felt a tickling sensation and a red light came out of his chest, and floated up over to Nefertari and sunk into her chest..

She gasped a bit, but stayed unconscious. A red aura surrounding her.After several minutes her fever went down and her breathing was steady. She didn't whimper anymore. She was having a peaceful sleep.

Anubis felt a bit woozy as he stood but Nefertem was behind him to steady him, "Why do I feel tired?"

"Because you gave up some of your life to save her." Isis said. "You just need to rest now."

He sighed, "I need to return to my palace someone bring her along please." he asked.,

Isis nodded, "Nefertem will bring her."

He picked her up and carried her to the palace.

Anubis used a small amount of energy when he appeared in his palace and his chamber, " I need to rest, Send her to the alter, Otep and Ank will watch over her." he said to Nefertem.

Isis smiled, "Wouldn't you rather have her with you."

He thought about it, "Maybe you're right. I'll be able to watch her."

Nefertem placed Nefertari in Anubis' bed. "There that should do."

"Thank you Nefertem. But it would be best to leave now." he said yawning.

He nodded, "Take care. If there is anything else you need, just ask."

When he left, Anubis looked at Nefertari sleepy peacefully he laid next to her and closed his eyes.
