Bride of Anubis

She felt a bit guilty about going home, "Yes... Well I don't think you'll have to..."

He looked at her, "Why would you say that?"

She looked down and sighed, "Maybe I should let Isis tell you."

He frowned a bit, "How did Isis get involved in this?" he asked.

"Well..." She sighed, "Isis is sending me back home... She has gone to meet with Osiris."

"But you cannot! I have chosen you!" he growled a bit. But he backed off, "Am I that unsavoury to you?"

She looked away, "No that's not true, you are very handsome and kind, but I cannot lie to you. I cannot give you false affection. I"m sorry."

"You have not been around me long to know you could could have affection for me." he said.

She continued to look away, "I know and I'm sorry, but I love another..." She sighed.

He sighed, "Then we have nothing further to discuss." he turned his back on her and went into his palace. He whistled and Ank and Otep followed him.

She sighed regretting that she told him. He had been so nice to her, but she could not return his love.

Anubis went to his throne and sat down, feeling like a total fool. "And I really did believe she would be the one." he said to himself.

Nefertari went back to Hathor not looking to happy.

Hathor saw her, "Oh bother, what happened?"

"He didn't take the news to well." She sighed.

"What a thorn in the foot." a male voice answered.

Nefertari and Hathor turned to the doorway to find, Horus.

"My love you are home." Hathor smiled and walked over to him.

Her eyes widened, "Your Horus..." She gapped. She was surprised

"Greeting young Nefertari." he nodded to her, "My wife has told me much about you." he smiled. He was in human form but was wearing a falcon helmet made of gold.

"It's an honor to meet you." She said

"I hope all goes well for you when you mett Osiris." he smiled, "Hathor, I will be back, I need to deal with something." he nodded to her and Nefertari before turning into a real falcon and flying away.

She smiled, "Thank you."

Horus flew over his wife's palace and towards his older brother's. He transformed to his animal head form and went to look for his brother, "ANubis? Anubis?" he called out. He eventually found him in the throne room, looking sullen and depressed in his throne, "Oh brother, are you really so melancholy over her?"

He glared at Horus, "I don;t wish to talk now brother, go."

"Come on Brother, if you really love her wouldn't you want her to be happy?" He sighed, "Why don't you make a deal? She stays with you for three years. And if she still doesn't feel the same way, release her."

"I cannot. Mother Isis has already made her a deal. If the one she loves has the same for her, she can return home, but i am certain she will." he sighed.

"Come on, don't be so sullen. It doesn't suit you well." He said. "Just bring it to Osiris."

Anubis glanced at his younger half brother, "........I take it you approve of her?"

He nodded, "I've met her and she seems perfect for you."

Anubis stood, "My brother, I believe she is the one to take the Anput, my other half, my companion.....my wife." he sighed again.

"Then win her heat and her affection," He smiled

"I'm afraid she may just hate me now." he looked to the floor.

"Why is that?" He asked

"I dismissed her when we spoke again...she told me about Isis and I got angry." he sat down again.

"You need to control your temper." He sighed, "I'm sure if you apologize she wont hate you."

"I will wait until the verdict is told. For now, I need to be alone." he said.

He sighed, "Well just be sure to make the request soon before it's too late."

"I will." he mumbled, tired from all that has been happening.

He sighed, "Well I guess I should leave you"

"Please, i wish to think alone." he said.

He nodded, "Very well." And left

Meanwhile... back with Neferatri she was in her room, looking out the winodw at the view of the nile and reeds, Sobek was talking with Rem again, and SObek looked a bit annoyed from what's she could see, making her giggle at his reactions. Rem was just smiroing

"I will miss it here..." She confessed to her self

Horus returned to Hathor's palace and sighed, "He's stubborn as usual."

"Oh course it's Anubis were talking about."

"My dear wife. I do find my brother is deeply smitten with the girl. I dare say his heart will break if she leaves.....or worse may vent his wrath on the mortals." he dreaded.

"Oh dear that would not be good. Has he made any attempt to woe her?" She asked

"I gave him a suggestion. Request for for her to stay for three years and see if she can really love him." he told his wife, "He said he would bring it up to Osiris when the time comes."

She sighed, "The poor girl isn't gonna like this but Anubis needs love too."

"that is if the human she loves loves her in return that is." Horus reminded Hathor.

She sighed, "This is hard. I do not wish for either one to be happy."

Horus sighed, "We will just have to wait and see how it goes."
