Bride of Anubis

She blushed, "Mother would be so proud to hear you say that."

He smiled but then his face turned stoic.

"I apologise but duty calls me." his human head turned to the jackal head. "I'll return when I finished." he nodded to her and vanished.

She nodded. "Okay." She then went to go find Sobek

SHe went to the spot she met him and Rem earlier. No one seemed to be about, but she then saw a crocodile in the water looking at her her.

"Sobek?" She asked/

The crocodile swam to the river bank and walked up to where Nefertari stood, "So you were told huh?" he chuckled.

She smiled, "Yes he told me. But I do have a question, Why is Anubis so over jealous?"

He blinked and turned to crocodile head form, "I would guess because he has been searching for the perfect woman for so long and now that he has her, he's not about to let anyone else take her." he clicked his thick neck.

"He said that if any of you hung around me he would take me strait to Osiris. Why does he think you'll take me away from him?"

"Me because I'm currently not married, and a few others because they are a threat to him." he shrugged.

"But you guys are brothers? I just don't get it..."

"But there will always be competition. Like Seth for example. He's got his eye on you too." he said, "Burt if your with me or an ally of Anubis, you're safe."

She smiled, "That's good to hear."

"But there will be some of the goddesses who will be after Anubis, so be wary." he warned.

"He said something about that..." She sighed. "I better go before I get in trouble."

"If you wish to have company that is safe, head to the Palace of Hathor." he smiled and walked back into his river.

"I'm not really sure where that is..."

"I do My lady." Nerfertari turned to see Seshat, the scribe goddess, "A pleasure to meet you." she nodded to her.

"Oh... Seshat That's nice of you to offer." She smiled, "It's nice to meet you too."

"This way." they walked through the palaces, Thoth's, Sobek'sthen to the house of Horus, "Horus is not here today but his wife Hathor is here. Since you two are to be sisters soon, best be meeting her now." Seshat smiled, writing down things, just like Thoth.

"What about you? Won't you be my sister too?"

"We will all be family, but since Hother is the wife of Anubis' half brother Horus, you will become sisiters in marriage." she smiled.

"I guess that makes sense." She nodded.

"Hothor should be inside, she has returned from her temple in the mortal just recently." she said.

"okay," She nodded, half wishing she was back home.

Seshat nodded and left. Hothor's palace was very feminine, Hothor was the goddess of love, beauty and many women prayed to her.

She then thought she heard music.

She followed the sound.

Nefertari found dancing girls twirling and musicians playing, and there laying down, being fanned by her servants was Hathor. She looked to the door way, "Ah, you must be Nefertari. Come in my dear sister to be." she smiled. She was beautiful.

"Umm.... Thank you..." She didn't know what else to say. So she came closer.

"Come child, I will not bite. That would be Sobek's job." she chuckled. Servants brought another couch for her to lay on.

"Please."

"I'm sorry I'm still new at this." She blushed and sat down next to her.

"I hear. I also hear you very diligent to your prayers?" she smiled. "I must say that your voice does sound familiar. I young girl praying about a young man?" she smiled, "But many young ladies pray that prayer." a servant poured some wine.

She blushed a bit, "Well thats not important anymore. I'm marrying Anubis..."

"Are you not happy? A marriage is a thing to be merry about." she seemed concerned, she told the musicians to quiet down a little.

"Well I'm kinda being forced into it." She sighed, "He found me close to death and brought me here."

She sighed, "Typical of the male kind. Think that they have found something or someone they think it belongs to them. I should talk to my husband to talk to Anubis or better yet his mother, Nephthys."

A servant offer Nefertari a bowl of pomegranates.

"Oh.. Thank you..." She took one. "I'm not sure if he would appreciate that." She sighed. "He might just drag me to Osiris."

"Osiris is his father as to all the other gods, but he will keep in line with his mother about." she said, "Eat my dear, they are fine fruit."

"Wait I thought his father was Set..." She frowned, "Osiris is only his adopted father...."

"Yes he did adopt him. But Anubis does not get along with Seth and does not call him father." she explained.

"Ahh... I see." She said nibbling on the fruit.

"But we do not discuss it aloud. Anubis cannot stand Seth and he makes sure to keep him out of his palace and the underworld." Hathor explained further. "My husband TRIES to talk to him outside of duty, but Anubis is dedicated to his work and barely speaks to any others than those he works with."

Nefertari sighed, "Well I guess I have alot of work ahead of me..."

"Does he talk to you?" she asked, "Because if he does, my MUST have something special about you." she smiled, eating a grape.

Then a servant came to Hathor, "My lady, your sisters, Sakhmet and Bastet are here." Hathor nodded, "Let them in."

Two ladies entered, VERY didferent in looks. One woman with dark skin with a lioness helmut on her head, lookinga ll the warrior and a more gentle looking one with a head of a house cat.

"Hathor, you're back." the cat said.

Nefertari was amazed yet again, she had met so many gods and goddesses in one day.

Bastet smiled looked at Nefertari, "There's a human in your palace Hathor." she blinked, Hathor nudged her, "She is ANubis' bride." "Oh! Sorry."

Nefertari blushed, "Hello..."

"So you're the human girl everyone's talking about." Sakhmet said, "You know you'll be have ing a bit of trouble." Hathor frowned, "Sakhmet!" "Better she know than get into trouble later."

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I mean that you'll have dangerous competition for Anubis, especially with ONE certain goddess." Hathor and Bastet grumbled, "Oh dear, we forgot about that."
