He looked at her, "You can not mean that..."

"But it is true." She bit her lip to stop herself from sobbing

"..............fine....." he walked the other way, "Thanks a lot for NOTHING!" he growled a bit.

After he was out of sight she fell to the ground and started sobbing. "I'm sorry Toximus. It's for your own protection." she whispered

Toximus got back to the INN, where Ruriel was waiting at the door, "Where did you go?"

"Out." He grumbled.

"I told you we have to be hiding. With you injured and all..."

"What ever."

"WHat happened...you seemed....pissed...." he observed.

"Mind your own business." He glared

He sighed, "You saw Gwen didn't you?"

"I said It's none of your business!"

He sighed, "ALright..." he gave up.

Gwen bought a present and quickly returned to the palace.

WHere Ravatus was waiting for her, with crossed arms and tapping foot.

As She entered through the balcony and closed her wings she saw Ravatus, "Oh hello."

"Enjoyed your WALK?" he asked, not impressed in the least.

"Yes it was fine." She said trying to hide her bag.

"Did you go OUTSIDE the palace?" he frowned.

"Maybe..." She said.

"You went to see that criminal didn't you?" he glared.

"No! Of course not! I promised you I wouldn't!"

"How come I do not believe you?" he turned and went to walk away.

"WAIT!" She called after him. "Do you really want to know why I went out?" She held out the bag for him

He looked at the bag then to her, "You went shopping? You are in danger and you go shopping?"

"It wasn't just shopping... Open it." She said

"What are you up to?" he was suspicious.

"Just open it." She sighed.

He opened the bag and found something wrapped, "This looks oddly familiar?"

"Unwrap them." She said.

He did so and found gold manacles with intricate designs etched into the metal, he looked at her gave a small smile, "I like them."

She smiled, "That's why I went out, to get you an engagement gift."

"Engagement gift? Hmm...usually the guests of the couple give the gifts, but his is......nice." he said.

"I am afraid I do not have a gift for you."

She shook her head, "No its fine." When he came closer he noticed her eyes looked as if they'd been crying.

"Are you alright, you are eyes are puffy and red." he leaned to get a closer look.

"Huh," She turned her head, "It's nothing."

"No one cries for nothing." he said.

She sighed, "You don't want to know."

He exhaled loudly. He got her in a embrace.

"I ended it with Toximus.... I ran into him while I was shopping and I ended it with him."

He looked at her, "It was for the best....."

She nodded, "Yes... It was..."

He hugged her tighter, "I am sorry though....I really am."

She nodded not speaking as tears ran down her tears.

He held her as she cried.

He sat down on the bed with her till she fell asleep

Ravatus left her to let her rest.

The next morning he found her still asleep in bed

He went over to her, "Gwen..." he shook her shoulder lightly.

"Huh..." She said drowsily.
