Bride of Anubis

"He told me he can deal with them for now. Right now, it is for you." he said.

She smiled, "Okay if you insist."

Later on...

They went inside before the evening fully fell. With just the last of the light on the horizon.

She kissed him, "This is an amazing night."

"Agreed. It was very good." he held her around the shoulder.

She leaned her head on his chest and yawned, "I love you Anubis."

"I love you." he held her close.

She smiled and fell asleep in his arms.

He stayed awake a bit longer before nodding off.

They fell asleep in the hammock

He kept his arm wrapped around her.

The servant girls giggled when they saw them.

Femi smiled and looked to the others, "Lets leave them be."

Still they giggled as they walked off.

Anubis and Nefertari slept on through the night, undisturbed.

Anubis woke up first.

He opened his eyes to the bright sunrise and looked at his future bride, sleeping on top of him, with her head on his chest. He smiled but didn't move.

He stroked her hair as she slept.

"My beautiful future bride...I would do anything for you." he caressed her cheek.

Femi came and whispered, "Is there anything I can do for you?"

"Run a bath for her. I have head to work, I want to finish early enough to spend the rest of th day with her." he whispered back.

Femi nodded, "Yes Sir."

"Thank you Femi." he smiled.

He gently removed himself from the hammock and stood up, he leaned down and kissed her cheek before leaving.

Femi smiled and went to fix him breakfast

He went to the palace kitchen, "Good morning everyone."

"Good morning Lord Anubis." They all said.

He smiled and went to sit down to eat.

They were all surprised by his impeccably good mood.

He sat there patiently, in deep thought about the things that have been happening lately. He is soon to be married, he had a TON of work to finish and not seeing Set NOT trying anything as of late had him thinking....alot.

Thoth sighed when he saw Anubis, "Your to distracted to work."

He snapped out of it, "Hm? Oh hello thoth. I am distracted?"

Thoth sighed, "Yes a bit to much if you ask me."

"No I am fine. OnceI get into work my mind sets on to that." he said.

"Well get on it. You have to judge the people." He sighed

He sighed, "You are WAY too pushy for your own good today." he said getting up.

"Well you DID abandon me yesterday to explain to them why ANUBIS wasn't there to judge them."

"I will apologise as well today, but right now, let me clear my thoughts and let me eat something. If I do not Nefertari will get upset." he sighed.

"Fine go eat something and then go JUDGE!"

Anubis gave him a glare, "Remember WHO you shout at THoth." Anubis warned.

"I don't care! We are equals Anubis. You judge and I record the last requests of the people. If this is how you are gonna act Osiris will not be happy."

"Then stop shouting at me like you are the superior. If you rush our kind of job, it will mess up, settle down and be calm." he advised.

He sighed, "If you'd do your work I wouldn't have too."

"I apologised to you already, please let it go already." he sighed.

He sighed, "I know you love her and all but it cannot cause you to neglect your duties, if Osiris found out he'd take her away from you."

He nodded, "I know, that's why In plan to do it earlier in the day."

"Well come on then. Lets go to the judgement room."

They both vanished to the underworld and to work.

Nefertari was soaking in the tub.

Femi came in with bath oils and fresh drying cloths, "How is your bath Nefertari?"

Nefertari smiled, "You need to start getting used to calling me mother."
