Bride of Anubis

"Huh?" She looked down at her attire. It was fit for royalty even the queen of Egypt herself. "When did I..."

Nefertem shrugged, "You were already dressed when you came to me, it seems Anubis is serious about you." he wiggled his eyebrows.

She blushed even more, "Well it is not my place to deny a god." She was a modest and sweet girl. If he were to weigh her heart against the feather it defiantly would be lighter.

He looked at her, "Worry not my dear. Anubis is not going to kill you. But it is true, it is not wise to deny us." he chuckled.

She blushed even more, "Yes Thoth. I know your scribes and priests have taught me well about the gods."

"Ahh you've prayed in my temple have you young one?" he asked.

She nodded, "Yes Sir I do. At home I have tiny shrines for each god and every night before I go to sleep I pray to each one."

He smiled, "What an honour it is to be in the presence of devoted girl."

She blushed, "No Sir, the honor is all mine to be in the presence of a god."

"Well, it is both a pleasure then." he bowed a bit.

"Shall I show you around?"

She blushed once more, "That would be nice." She was a modest little thing.

Thoth showed her around the connecting palaces of the gods. From Nefertem's home to Thoth's.

"Is it what you expected young one?" he asked, still writing down as they walked.

Then someone was watching them as the walked along.

She stared in awe, "This is better than I imagined."

Thoth smiled, "If you wish to talk or have any question call for me or Seshat, we will answer your questions."

Then he paused and looked around him, "...."

"Hmm...? Is something wrong?" She asked.

"Come out, I know you're there." he called out.

A laugh echoed around them, "I have a question, WHY is there a LIVING mortal in the World of the gods?"

The voice startled her. It was cold an icey. "Who is it?" She whispered.

Then out from behind a column was Seth, god of chaos.

"Tell me Thoth, why demean yourself with being in the PRESENCE of a mortal." he smirked.

"This girl is about to become a goddess." He stated simply

Nefertari blinked, I guess since she was to marry Anubis she would be a gods wife which would make her a goddess.

Seth scoffed, "THIS is going to take the name of Anubis' wife?" he walked up to her and circled her, Thoth kept close, "Keep your distance Seth, you in Anubis' home."

Then the two black dog appeared in front of Nefertari and growled at Seth, then Anubis appeared behind Nefertari, "You are not welcome here Seth, begone."

Seth rolled his eyes, "Very well, but look new 'sister', i'll get you." he vanished.

She jumped when Anubis appeared next to her, "What does he want with me?"

"Mischief..." he growled.

"Come my dear. I'm going to show you your new home." he picked her up bridal style and they vanished.

She blushed as he picked her up. She wasn't used to being treated this way.

When they arrived, they were in a bed chamber.

"Our future bedroom." he said, still holding her.

She blushed not knowing what to say.

He chuckled, "Speechless once again I see."

She blsuhed, "Yes sir. I was just wondering... Why me?"

"A few reasons. One being that you are a very lovely sight." he looked at her.

She blushed once more, "But I'm not worthy enough to be your bride. I'm just a human."

"You will become MORE than a mortal when we wed." he walked up to her, and he got a lock of her hair, "When you become my wife, you'll take the name of Anput." he smiled.

(The female aspect of Anubis)

She blushed, "But sir I cannot return your feelings." She was thinking about Abasi.

He looked at her, "You would reject me?" his tone turned emotionless.

She cowered a bit, "N-no Sir... I was just saying..." She rally regretted telling him that she was in love with another.

He looked at her expression, "I will not push on the matter, but I will give you time to think about it. I shall show you to a separate part of the palace." he turned his back to her, clearly a bit annoyed.

She regretted saying the things she did, but she couldn't let him go on thinking she was in love with him. It would be wrong.

He showed her to a room with a beautiful view of the Kingdom of gods, with the river that led to Paradise not far away.

"I must attend my duties. You may walk about if you wish, but stay away from Seth. You should know what he is like." he vanished.

She felt horrible for hurting him like that. She sighed as he left.

The place was finely made and furniture. Like a Pharaohs Palace.

She looked out to the nile and spotted a buff guy grumbling to himself, "I'm telling you the crop will die!" he said to the water.

She walked up to the boy, "Is something wrong?" She said crouching down next to him.

"Who are you calling a boy?" he turned to show a face of a crocodile.

"Ahh!" She screamed as she fell back into the water.

He blinked, "Oops, sorry about that."

Nefertari wiped the water from her face and looked up to se Sobek, god of the nile.

"Did you REALLY have to scare her?" another voice came, Nefertari looked to her sideand found a slender man with a fish for a head, it was Rem, the god who's tear fertilises the land.

"Are you alright?" Rem asked.

She blushed and nodded, "Yes Sir. I'm fine... just a little startled."

Rem laughed, "I told you you were a frightening sight to behold." Sobek glared at the fished headed god, "Be silent Rem!" Sobek walked up to Nefertari and picked out of the water, "Forgive me for startling you." he put her on dry land.

She blushed even more, "Oh... umm... Thank you."She wasn't used to this much attention. Especially from GODS.

When he placed her down Sobek recognised her, "You're the girl who fell into my river." he crossed his arms smirking.

"How does it feel to be chosen by the ruler of the underworld himself?" he asked.

She was unsure, "It's good I guess. I don't really know since I haven't really had a conversation with him."

"He's like that." he noticed she still wet, "Hold still." he waved his hand and the water vanished from her body, she was all dry again.

"I saw you when you fell into my river, I thought you wouldn't make it." he stepped out of the water.

She blushed, "I probably wouldn't have made it if Anubis hadn't picked me up."

He smiled, "Normally he doesn't take the living." he chuckled a bit, "Would you like company?"

Rem snorted, "YOU for company, bad idea." the fish headed god laughed. Sobek glared at him.
