Runaway

He walked into the bathroom and turned on the water waiting for the tub to fill up.
"Need any help? It may be a bit difficult to bathe with your hurt arm."

"Pervert." She teased. "I think I can manage though. If I can't I'll call one of the maids."

"That was not my intention at all." He pouted a bit.

"I'm only teasing. Besides I don't think we want to see each other naked until our wedding day." She kissed him.

"Mm that day just can't get here fast enough." He sighed happily and started to head for the door to go to his room.

Aunika called for a maid then undressed and sunk into the tub.

Abaddon went into his room and took a hot bath as well. He finished and got dressed and decided to go check on his mother and Aunika before he went to bed. His mother was sound asleep so he went to check on Aunika. He knocked on the door and peaked his head inside.

"One second!" She called. When she opened the door her hair was tied up in a bun and she was wearing a silk robe.

He stood there for a minute mesmerized by the sight.
"I. . .uhm. . .just came to check on you."

She smiled, "Well You can come in." She opened the door wider for him

"Thank you." He walked in and sat on the edge of her bed.
"I also wanted to ask. . .what do you want to do about the wedding?"

She blinked in surprise, "Hmm... well what do you mean?"

"I guess I am asking what is your dreams wedding?"

She blushed, "Well I guess I never really put much thought into it. I would like my family to be there,"

"That would be great, since my mother is really the only family I have left." Abaddon laid down on the bed and rested on his arm.
"I will give you whatever you want my princess. You deserve nothing less."

She blushed, "Your sweet," She sat down next to him and smiled. "But what I want most is you."

He smiled, "Well I will be there along side you. I am sure my mother is dying to help you pick out a dress."

She chuckled, "I'm sure she will. I'm rather fond of your mother. A bit more motherly than mine."

"Oh?" He turned over on his side and faced her feeling rather intrigued by this.

"My mother does love me, but she spends most of her time trying to make me and my sisters the perfect brides. Always in lessons never a break."

"Etiquette lessons? I remember those days." Abaddon shook his head and sighed heavily.

"Except for us it never stops. My mother keeps teaching us and teaching us. It is an endless chore. We hardly had anytime to ourself."

"There is only so much etiquette that can be taught and learned. Surely she would run out of material. My father just made sure that I was well educated in politics, math, literature, and debate."

"I'm educated in all that also. She just keeps adding to it. Cause I must be the perfect bride, princess, and queen." She sighed, "It's quite tiring."

"I know the feeling. My father was so determined to turn me into him. I did not want to rule my kingdom with fear and an iron fist."

She smiled, "Well thats another thing we have in common. Our stubborn parents."

"I cannot imagine sitting in lessons all day. I always looked forward to outdoor activities and lessons. Fencing was especially exciting."

She smiled, "Maybe one day you could teach me."

"I just hope you can keep up. You have to be fast and agile all at the same time. Maybe when your arm heals I will show you a few tricks."

She smiled. "I would like that." She kissed his cheek.

Abaddon yawned and laid his head down on the pillow.
"Mm your bed is so much more comfortable than mine."

She chuckled, "Your just saying that because you don't want to leave." She teased him

"Maybe I am, and maybe I'm not. You have no proof." He teased her right back.

She smiled, "I have a feeling were going to become great friends as well as a couple." She kissed him.

"I have heard that is the ideal thing when it comes to being married." He smiled and welcomed her kiss. He wanted so much to deepen it again like the night they went riding, but he restrained himself.

"I love you..." She whispered smiling at him

"And I you." He pulled her back into a sweet kiss wrapping his arms around her waist.

She wrapped her good arm around him deepening the kiss. His kisses were so sweet and tender.

He was surprised to see her get so quick with him. He felt himself wanting more, but he held himself back. He moved his hand to the back of her head and tilted it to give himself better access.

Her hair fell out of the bun and flowed circling around their faces. She smiled once the kiss ended, "I don't think I can see myself marrying anyone but you."

"And I would not want to marry anyone else but you." He pushed some hair from her face and smiled.
"Please. . .don't make me leave."

She smiled and kissed him, "I won't. Besides this is your castle. I cannot tell you to leave even if I wanted too." She chuckled

"That's true, but it would be rude if I didn't ask. This is your room after all not mine." He held her close in his arms.
"It gets really lonely in my room. I would much rather be here with you."

She smiled, "Then stay in here with me." She kissed him once again. "I don't mind it and I don't think anyone else will."

Abaddon smiled at her. "Thank you."

Aunika kissed him, "Your welcome."

Abaddon pulled her closer and got himself comfortable.
"Shall we set a date for the wedding?"

"Maybe in the spring," She smiled kissing him.

"How about in April?"

She smiled, "Sounds perfect."
