Day Off Meeting

They came to a grill stand with seats, "It's on me alright, since its your first time here." he smiled, "Hey, Two BBQ pork and what else?" he looked at Natsuki.

"Um. .I would love some lemonade please." She smiled at Roku and then looked at the waiter. Natsuki took a seat at one of the tables and waited for Roku.

Roku got their orders and came over to their table,

"Here we are, the service is pretty quick and normally they start grilling earlier." he smiled, placing the pork down and with some chop stick, there was also white rice.

"Here's your lemonade."

"Thank you, and thank you for paying. That was very nice of you. I guess chivalry is not yet dead." She smiled as she took a sip of her lemonade.
"So, will you tell me a little bit about yourself Roku?"

He opened his can of root beer, "About me? Hmmm.....Well, I'm from the mist village as you know, I've been chunin foe over two years now and the missions get harder and more interesting each time. I like to try new things when I'm in a place I have never been, I like to have fun, but I hate travelling." he groaned at the last bit.

Natsuki ate a bit of her meal while she listened to Roku speak. She laughed at that last bit.
"Why do you hate traveling so much?"

"Its weird huh? I like to see new places, but I hate the travelling." he chuckled, "I'm not patient when it come to walking from place to place." he laughed nervously.

She smothered her laughter with her hand and took another sip of her lemonade.
"It complicates things a bit. You said you had teammates right? What are they like?"

"Well, there's Benjiro, he's the leader and he takes his job as a Shinobi seriously, but he recently starting dating and I haven't been seeing much of him." he chuchkled, "He normally is the one that hangs out with me. Then there is Osawa...Well, I try to make her smile, but it never works." he laughed, "She is dedicated to her ninja way of life and her father is possibly the scariest man in the village, after the seven swordsmen."

"Hmm interesting. You all seem so different." She took a bite of her BBQ pork and smiled.
"Wow you were right this is delicious."

He smiled and took a bite of it, sighing, "Delicious, as always. ANd its better with great company."

"I agree." She continued to munch on her food until she was completely finished.
"Thanks again for dinner. It was fabulous. So what else is there to do here? The night is still young."

"We could look around the market, do some shopping maybe?" he suggested, finishing his root beer.

"Sure." Natsuki stood up and pulled out a little bit of money to leave for a tip.
"How old are you? You look like you are about 17."

"Yeah, I'm seventeen, turing eighteen in November." he smiled.

"I just turned 18 in March." She snickered.
"I am so not use to this climate. All this moisture in the air is making my skin feel clammy."

"If stick around long enough you get used to it." he chuckled, "Come on, let's check out the markets."

"Ok!" They walked around until they got to the little market place. Natsuki was so fascinated with all the little trinket stands and the shops that sold clothes of all kinds. They came to a little flower stand where a kind old man was selling flowers.
"Ah, you two make such a lovely couple. How about you buy flowers for your lady young man?" Natsuki blushed all kinds of red.

Roku blinked and his whole face turned red.

"Ummm.....sure." he said, pulling out his wallet, "That bunch please."

The elderly man smiled happily and got the bunch he was pointing at. He took them out of the bucket of water and took them to a little table. He cut a red ribbon from a roll and tied it around the flowers to hold them perfectly in place. He handed them to Roku and leaned in close.
"It is on the house son. The look on her face will be payment enough." The man smiled and went back to reading his paper. The flowers Roku pointed at were Tiger Lilies ironically.

"Thanks." he whisper, turning to Natsuki, "F-For you."

Natsuki took the flowers and looked at them.
"Aww, Tiger Lilies. They are beautiful. Thank you so much, Roku." She walked closer to him slowly and hugged him.
"You are so sweet to me."

He blushed when she hugged him, "Y-You're welcome."

She looked up at him and smiled.
"I will treasure them for as long as they live." She set them down on a table and took a short one from the bunch and put it in her hair. A huge explosion goes off in the sky. Natsuki looked up and saw fireworks. "Come on Roku lets go to the river so we can get a better view." She picked up her flowers and grabbed Roku by the arm pulling him along.

"Whoa!" he laughed as he followed her.

The found a good spot near the river and watched the fireworks go off.

"Nice."

"Wow this is amazing!" She sat down on the ground and put her flowers next to her.
"These are just like the fireworks we have back home. I am glad I left Bagheera back at the hotel. He is terrified of fireworks." She giggled.

"Well, its a good thing I'm not." he joked.

"Yeah. Come on and sit with me." She looked up at him with a smile.

He sat next to her, watching the colour fly through the sky in flashes and crackling.

She looked over at him for a second and decided to have some fun. She moved a little bit closer to him and poked him in his ribs.

He looked at her, "Hmm? What?" he looked to where she poked and snickered, "SOrry but I'm not ticklish."

"You have got to be kidding me?!? Everyone is ticklish." She moved behind him and tried tickling him in the ribs again with her finger tips.

He gave a toothy grin, "Nope, never been ticklish." he laughed at her attempts.

"I am determined to find one on you!" This time she ran her finger tips over the back of his neck.
"I will not stop either. I am very stubborn."

But when she touched the back of his neck he shuddered, "Oh! No there, its sensitive. Old wound from a mission." he chuckled.

She moved her hand from his neck and saw a scar that she never even noticed.
"Oh, I see. I am sorry." She placed her hand on the scar gently. She sat down on her knees behind him and looked at the scar. She figured that she would try something else. She leaned down near his ear and blew on it gently hoping that might spark something.

"You know...if you keep doing that I might lose control." he glanced over his shoulder, "I don't want to make you upset."

"What do you mean?" She asked resting her hands on his shoulders.

He looked away, "I'm meaning, if you keep blowing in my ear, you'll turn me on." he chuckled, "Just so you know, I'm rather blunt, so sorry if I sound a lit perverted." he laughed nervously.

"Well for all you know, that may have been my underlying intention." She stuck her tongue out playfully at him.
"Besides, I know you would never intentionally hurt me."

HE perked an eyebrow, "Are you implying that you were going to jump me?" he chuckled, "I must say it is an honour."

"Nah, that would be very un-ladylike of me. I was merely going to lure you into submission." She giggled. "And I should be the one that is honored, you got me flowers and courted me around all evening. I am so thankful."

He got her hand and kissed it, "You're welcome, most welcome." he looked to the fireworks.

She blushed madly and wrapped herself around his neck and continued to watch the fireworks resting her head on his shoulder.
"I am so glad that I met you Roku."

He smiled and leaned his head on hers, "Me too...Natsuki."

She felt her heart racing inside her chest, and she was sure that Roku felt it too on his back. The fireworks show continued for about 10 more minutes and then it was over.
"Hey, how about a late night bath in the hot springs?"

"I know where a wild hot spring is nearby. I found it last time I was here." he smiled at her.

"Great! Lets go!" She crawled over to her flowers and picked them up.
"I have not been in a hot spring in so long. I cannot wait to get there. Is it far?"

"Nope, just hop skip and a jump over the root tops and into the nearby woods." he smiled, standing up and lending her hand.

She took his hand and followed him over the roof tops. It was rather hard for her to keep up when she was wearing cork sandals, but she was able to manage. She followed him into the nearby woods. Even the forests were covered with a blanket of mist.
"We almost there?"
